Hey, I am Sarthak
Systems, Scale, and Real-World Impact. Keep Learning, Keep Building.
I am a software engineer passionate about backend infrastructure and distributed systems. Over the last two years, I worked at Meta Reality Labs, building infrastructure for large-scale simulations — running across hundreds of machines and generating petabyte-scale data for building ML models.
Before that, I worked in an early-stage startups, building systems from scratch and owning infrastructure end-to-end. That experience shaped how I think about systems — under constraints, ambiguity, and real usage.
I am drawn to systems that operate at scale and matter in the real world. Problems where complexity is not optional, and trade-offs are unavoidable.
I also spend time exploring finance, economics, quantitative thinking, and mathematics — trying to connect them back to systems.
This is my public notebook — a place to think, break things down, and share what I find worth understanding. Not polished, just signal.
